So for Molly's nursery, we did an owl theme. Most of the decorations are DIY projects, some of which I found on blogs or pintrest.
I can't remember exactly where I saw this idea, I think another blog, but I recovered an old lamp shade with some cute owl ribbon from Hobby Lobby.
I got the idea for the owl garland/bunting from the Spunky Junky blog. The owl clock came from Kirklands when I was back in NC at Christmas.
I made bigger owls like the ones on the bunting to put at either end of her name. I put her name on an old aspen tree limb from our yard.
I made an owl pillow from an old tote bag. I had seen owl pillows on Pottery Barn kids, but I figured I could make my own and came up with this.
The owl coat hanger also came from Kirklands. My mama found me this great owl hat and my sister got me the owl back pack.
I turned the plain old brown curtains that I had in the room into "custom" curtains by simply sewing ribbon onto them in a pattern. I used the same ribbon that I covered the lamp with.
I made this cute hair bow holder from an old frame and ribbon. This idea was from pintrest :)
I added a framed owl from a calender print to the bookshelf.
I think the nursery turned out great, it is one of my favorite rooms in the house!
